Christmas Day ~ Movies and Savory Popcorn

Happy Birthday Jesus!

When you have a moment, take the time to relax and listen to
Sarah’s version of this song is absolutely beautiful.
A special ‘Thank You’ to Connie for giving me permission to post her video.

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

In our family, we celebrate Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, it’s a relaxing day.
Sometimes, some family members get together and go to the movies.
If you prefer to watch movies at home, then you can make your own popcorn! Ever since I made my own popcorn, I never bought packaged popcorn again.
The only time I buy popcorn now is when I am at the movie theatre.

SAVORY POPCORN
By Carmen Ortiz of Baking is my Zen

I prefer making popcorn in a small amount of oil instead of air-popped.
When the popcorn is ready, spray it lightly with vegetable spray.
Mix salt, black pepper and oregano (or any spice, like basil, thyme etc).
Sprinkle over popcorn. Toss.
Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the popcorn. Toss.
Ready to serve.

Butter option:
Melt butter.
Add spices to butter.
Mix.
Pour over popcorn.
Toss.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Toss.
Serve.

Here is the recipe for Savory Popcorn De Provence which I used as a starting point.

Movies and Savory Popcorn…a great combination!

Have a Blessed Christmas Day ~

Peace,

Carmen
