It's Smooth Sailing Making a Pineapple Smoothie

Sipping a Pineapple Smoothie for breakfast…one of my favorite things!

If you like fresh pineapple, yogurt, pineapple juice and honey, you’ll love this recipe.

It’s easy to prepare and delicious!

Here’s a recipe to use as a guide.
Change ingredient amounts to suit your taste.

½ cup greek yogurt
1 slice pineapple (about 1 inch thick)
1 Tablespoon honey
¼ cup pineapple juice
5-10 ice cubes

Put all items in a blender until smooth.
Pour in a glass. Enjoy!

I absolutely love boats…marinas…the ocean…

Lot of fishing going on here…

Stopped by the Brielle Yacht Club Marina and took some photos of boats. Met some nice folks as I snapped away…

Here is Joe. He was getting ready to go fishing with his buddy Ed. Very nice guy.

This is Ed...very friendly and pleasant.

His friend is also on the boat (don't know his name).

Ed & Joe's boat~

Boat owners like to

christen their boats with a name.

Here are some very creative names!

Here a boat owner sprays down his boat…

THEN, there is my favorite restaurant. Shipwreck Grill.

My parents wedding anniversary dinner was held here a few years ago. The food was absolutely FABULOUS!
Memorable was the Cheesecake drizzled with Cilantro Oil. At first, I was hesitant to try it. But, then gave it a chance. OMG! Wonderful! However, I don’t see it on their menu now.

A shout out to Shipwreck Grill for such great food and service!

Stop by! You’ll love it!

Memorial Day 5/31/10 ~ Host your party with an Edible Terrarium for dessert

Our Soldiers…our AMAZING GRACE…not to be forgotten this
Memorial Day 2010

A moment of reflection to our fallen soldiers for their bravery…
and to my cousin Valeriano who received the Purple Heart.
He is no longer with us, but remembered. I LOVE YOU!

A powerful and riveting rendition of AMAZING GRACE sung by Leann Rimes

Amazing Grace ~

Lyrics

Amazing Grace How Sweet The Sound
That Saved A Wretch Like Me
I Once Was Lost But Now I'm Found
Was Blind But Now I See

'twas Grace That Taught My Heart To Feel
And Grace My Fears Relieved
How Precious Did That Grace Appear
The Hour I First Believed

When We've Been There Ten Thousand Years
Bright Shining As The Sun
We've No Less Days To Sing God's Praise
Then When We First Begun

Amazing Grace How Sweet The Sound
That Saved A Wretch Like Me
I Once Was lost But Now I'm Found
Was Blind But Now I See

How to make an Edible Terrarium:

Here is a link where I found the idea to make an edible terrarium.

It’s SO simple! Love that!

ITEMS & INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
• Truffles – use your favorite Candy Truffles recipe.
• Candy making utensils (optional)

• Glass container with lid
• Oreo cookies
• Coconut
• Green food coloring

DIRECTIONS:

1- Make Truffles. See my post for Sweet Melissa Sundays -Peanut Butter Truffles. Instead of rolling truffles in crushed peanuts, coat the outer truffle with melted chocolate.

2- Pulverize Oreo cookies. (I use a food processor)
3- Sprinkle into glass container. (about an inch – depending on size of glass)
4- Coat coconut with a drop or two of green coloring.
5- Scatter coconut on top of pulverized Oreo cookies.
6- Place Truffles on coconut.
7- Cover the terrarium with a lid.

Voila! You’ve got an EDIBLE TERRARIUM!

Recap:
~ Oreo cookies > represents the dirt
~ Green coconut > represents moss
~ Truffles > represents mushrooms

Enjoy your Memorial Day!

Peace,

Carmen
